We are always looking for new ideas and projects to develop the Sakli Vadi portfolio. We have recently bought some fields with two ruined cottages, in the village of Arpacik, where we now have our home. The ruins are roughly half a mile from our home and are in a truly peaceful and totally rural setting. These two cottages will appeal to our guests who want an absolutely quiet, away from it all holiday.

We have started the renovation of the two properties and will keep the blog updated as the project develops.

Cheers for now, Sandy & Jon

Sandy & Jon would like to take this opportunity wish all the guests who have stayed at Sakli Vadi and all prospective new clients reading this blog, a very happy, safe and prosperous 2011 !

We look forward to welcoming back clients who are old friends and supporters of Sakli Vadi and also many new faces this coming season. 2010 was our busiest season yet. Kucuk Ev was advertised on the web site for the first time and proved very popular with guests. All four cottages will be available again this year from the begining of April through to the end of October.

We would also like to thank all our guests who took the time to send in emails to the blog with their comments and experiences of their visit to the cottages last year. Many first time guests who stayed in 2010 commented how useful the information in the blog messages were to them. The blog is really developing and growing. We do hope customers will take time again this season to publish their comments. Thanks again !

What’s new for 2011 ??? Rumour control says two more cottages perhaps – watch this space !!!

We look foward to welcoming you to Sakli Vadi in 2011 !

Sandy & Jon have now finished building thier new home in the mountains above Uzumlu, in the farming village of Arpacik. Kucuk Ev, or in English the Little House, was originally renovated and then used as their own family base in the village, for many years. In the large garden they built the laundry for the cottages and a maintenance workshop. Having completed the hosue in Arpacik, over this coming winter at Kucuk Ev they intend to re-design the garden, move the laundry and build a plunge pool, similar to those in The Granary and The Forge. They hope to have the cottage fully up and running to join the other three as a rental unit, ready for the 2010 season.

Kucuk Ev has a well established flower garden surrounded by high walls for privacy. The cottage has a large kitchen with a hob, oven and a huge fridge freezer. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room. The cottage has a second bathroom off the sitting room, so can accommodate a family of four comfortably.

We will keep the blog up to date on this as the building work progresses.
