Myself and my wife stayed here for 1 week and were blown away by the whole experience! The cottages are in the most amazing location and the ‘Hidden Valley’ would have remained off of our radar had we not come to stay here.
Our view was seriously spectacular, (If you haven’t yet, make sure you check out the pics on the website!!) every morning we awoke to silence, bar a few bleats from sheep and the odd bray from a donkey in the beautiful farmers fields and hills that surrounded us. We had everything we could need at the cottage itself, very luxurious and boutique bedroom, lovely – fully equipped kitchen and a truly fantastic outdoor space for lounging, eating and dipping in our very own plunge pool! I honestly doubt you will find such great amenities at such prices anywhere else.
The owners were superb hosts, taking their time in explaining to us all the sights and things to see and do in the surrounding areas, of which there are plenty!!
I honestly could continue writing about these superb cottages and their location for a long time…a better idea would be to come and see it for yourself – you will not be disappointed…Thank you Sakli Vadi!!

My wife and I stayed in the Garnary for three nights in late April 2010. The cottage istelf was perfect for us. A large, comfortable bedroom, well-equipped kitchen, modern bathroom/shower. We especially enjoyed the outdoor sitting area-great for taking morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. The location itself is across the street from a great restaurant whose owner one night made us up a nice “to go” plate of lamb, yogurt and tomatoes/cucumbers. It is also within walking distance to a grocery store.
The area itself is fascinating and well worth more than the few days we spent there touring the abandoned village of Kaya Koyu, lazing on the beach at Oludeniz and walking the local roads. If you have time and the courage, take a paragliding trip or walk a day on the Lycian way. Those will be activities for our next trip!

My now wife and I stayed at the Granary for two weeks for our honeymoon in May 2010, and we had an absolutely fantastic time. I can’t speak highly enough of the facilities and the service – the cottage itself is marvellously presented, particularly the lovely garden area which is great for breakfast, sunbathing by the private plunge pool, sundowners, and evening barbecues. We were met in the village on arrival by the housekeeper, who made sure that we were well looked after during our stay. The location was superb too – set on top of a hillock at the end of a valley, in rural Turkey, just a couple of kilometres from the sea, but within easy striking distance of lots of interesting things to do. Each of the cottages is unique and different, but the Granary certainly isn’t second best to any of the others.
It would be possible to stay here and do everything by public transport (there is a regular minibus service along the valley), but it’s certainly easier if you have your own hire car.
When we saw the Sakli Vadi website, we thought that it was likely that the cottages would be pretty good, but there’s always a suspicion that you never can quite tell from the internet. When we woke on our first morning (having arrived late and in the dark) and stretched our legs, we were astonished to find that, if anything, the place exceeded not just our expectations but also our hopes. Warmly recommended – and great for honeymoons!

We are a couple of Italians and we were so lucky to have the possibility to stay 11 days at The Granary, one of the Sakli Vadi superb cottages!
It was so hard to leave The Granary to come back to Italy, as we had such a wonderful time in it and travelling around. We loved the way the cottage is furnished and well equipped, with a lovely front door apartment space to stay during the day (with a cute fireplace and the possibility to do barbecueing) and a lovely and refreshing plunge pool next to wich we could enjoy afternoon sun and night stars. We were very well looked after by Gonul, the housekeeper Nevin, and wish to thank Jon and Gonul for their kindness and help and Sandy for having created this little paradise.
The cottage is not only beautiful it is also very clean, romantic and close to many interesting and fantastic places to visit. Both cottage and the whole area around exceeded our expectations ! You can visit historical sites and beautiful beaches around, being sure to be back in complete relaxing natural environement in the evening.
We loved the peace we could make experience of being at the same time cuddled by a very comfortable accomodation and natural enviroment. We would highly recommend it to people who love nature, beauty and comfort

My girlfriend and I recently spent ten days at the Granary. After perusing the website we were expecting the cottage to be nice but on arrival were almost surprised by how lovely it was. From the beautiful bathroom to the lovely big bedroom/living room to the cute little kitchen, the cottage was, for us, perfect. We liked it so much that we spent half the holiday just lying around by the plunge pool reading!
When we did go out we never ventured very far from the valley, although we did have a hire car which made things a very easy. We went to three different beaches – Gemiler (down the road from the cottage, nice and small), Oludeniz (big, bit more commercial but still very beautiful) and Kidrak (round the corner from Oludeniz, very quite, beautiful but very very hot as no breeze), and to a few of the local restaurants. Cin Bal in the next village was our favourite – traditional Turkish food cooked in front of you in a great setting, but we also liked Posiedon.
There were so may things we didn’t do. The Kaya valley itself is breathtakingly beup-autiful and we’d have liked to do a bit more walking but we were too busy relaxing!
We would recommend the Granary to anyone who wants a quiet, relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings. We can’t wait to go back!
