However, many of our clients like to simply book and rent the cottages from us. They then wish to make their other travel arrangements themselves. This we are naturally more than happy for people to do. Whichever way you wish to make your arrangements, we hope the information in this link proves helpful.

 

Airport Transfers

If clients wish us to, we can arrange airport transfers, from either Dalaman or Antalya Airports. We normally arrange small air conditioned saloon cars that can carry up to three persons. But, for larger parties, we can arrange mini buses that carry up to seven persons. Our regular drivers speak a little English and they will deliver you directly to the door of your cottage, where our Manager will be waiting to greet you and to show you around. The journey from Dalaman to the cottages takes around one hour and fifteen minutes .

Our charge for the round trip transfer from and returning to Dalaman Airport is Gbp. 120.00. Please just drop an e mail to Sandy or Jon at info @sakli-vadi.com and we will be more than happy to make all the arrangements.

 

Car Hire

We can supply one of the following makes and models of cars :-

The availability of each particular model will depend on the amount of bookings we have at any given time. All the cars are compact saloons, with air conditioning fitted as standard.

Our fully inclusive hire rates are :-

July, August & September – Gbp. 32.00 a day
All other months – Gbp. 29.00 per day.

Our hire rates are fully inclusive and there are no extras to pay. The above rates cover collection from and drop off at Dalaman Airport, if you are using a vehicle for all of your holiday. If you only wish to rent for shorter periods, the rates include delivery to and collection from our car parking area, which is located just below the cottages.

The rates include comprehensive insurance, two named drivers and all kilometers. Included in the insurance is cover for windscreens, lights, lenses, exterior mirrors and tyres.

All major international credit cards are accepted for payment (except American Express please). As is standard with car hire agreements in Turkey, refundable Gbp. 100.00 deposits are retained to cover any outstanding parking or traffic fines, and the loss of the car keys and/or documents, which unfortunately cannot be insured against.

The vehicles when collected/delivered will have full fuel tanks and we ask they be returned full please. If you are unable to re-fill the car with petrol when you return it, that cost is deducted from the deposit and the balance refunded to you.

If you hold a UK driving license, please remember to bring both the paper and plastic parts with you !

Tours & Excursions

Over the last few seasons, more and more of our guests have wanted to book organised sightseeing tours and excursions, whilst they are staying at the cottages.

Because of this growing demand and to give our guests a single point of contact and to ensure their enquiries are dealt with professionally, we have joined forces with Natalie and Ertan Karagul.

Natalie is from New Zealand and is married to Ertan, who is Turkish and he is also an accredited and licensed English language translator. They live in Hisaranou and operate their travel and tourism business from offices in the town and also in Oludeniz. They are able to arrange accompanied tours, boat trips (called ghulets), fishing, rafting, coach excursions, jeep safaris, currency exchange, diving, paragliding, estate agency and anything thing else that might spring to mind to do during your holiday at Sakli Vadi.

Local Bus Services And Taxis

If you prefer not to hire a car, then there are local buses and taxis available.

Turkey operates a very cheap and efficient bus service that links all the villages and local towns together. The buses are called Dolmus (pronounced dolemush, which literally means stuffed in Turkish !). The dolmus service operates in the valley and the buses run roughly every half an hour through the village. You can get on and off wherever you like and it is a fixed price charge. They are great fun and extremely cost effective.

In the village there are several taxis. Just ask our Manager to make the arrangements for you or to help you with the Dolmus.

 

 

Pedal Power & Scooters

The Kaya Valley is a beautiful place to ride around. We are happy to arrange scooter and bicycle (usually mountain type bikes) hire in advance for our guests.

 

 

Charter Airlines Operating Into Dalaman International Airport

Dalaman Airport has recently been expanded and now operates both charter and schedule services all year round. There are an ever increasing number of airlines using the airport. Please find listed below the charter operators with the largest number of flights into Dalaman, from many UK regional airports, as well as from London.

There are a number of smaller charter operators flying into Dalaman. It is not possible to list them all as they change their operations from time to time, as do the larger companies listed above.

Turkish Airlines have daily scheduled flights to Istanbul from London Heathrow and Manchester airports. You can then connect with their daily domestic service to Dalaman. The flight time is approximately 50 minutes from Istanbul.
